This is my list, and is merely an additional list for me to
remember EXTRA things to bring, in addition to my usual camping
equipment. You SHOULD check the Burning Man home pages for their
suggestions, and warnings. Believe them! Bring warm clothes and
rain gear in addition to your shorts!
Anything you bring, you have to take home with you! Nothing gets
left behind! Don't pack yourself up and think you're leaving all
your trash behind and making room. Plan to take it back to Reno
and using the dump there.
Again, this is my list. Anything missing I'm not to be blamed for.
Think for yourselves, and make your *own* additions! See also: Burning Man's Required Reading for a complete list of what and why.
Dry Ice: a good way to keep things cool for the first few days.
Plus, your film won't get wet.
Astroturf/carpeting for tent front & cooking/supply area
Lots of space blankets: They can be taped to the car and help keep
things cool. Tugrik's idea, and a damn good one. See his page for
more info. (http://www.purrsia.com/tugrik/bman.html)
Wood for floor, shower floor: make yourself a shower floor of
wooden slats. You'll appreciate not having adobe feet. Consider a
small floor area for cooking and such. Keeps the stuff outta the
dust.
Camo netting or drogue chute for shade: tarps work, but they're
noisy in the wind, and the wind wants to take them places.
Anything open will allow the wind through, and not need major
guying down. (Your RV/van will rock less when you're trying to
sleep too.)
Dust off or compressed air: If not for your cameras, for the dash
of your car when you leave.
Dust masks: I can breathe again.
Tight glasses or goggles
Mud boots
Bicycles
Water balloons & Squirt guns
